Vlad Furman
Theater and film director, producer, actor, screenwriter, Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation, one of the founders of the Illusion film company.
In 1990 he graduated with honors from LGITMiK named after N. K. Cherkasov (class of Prof. G.A. Tovstonogov, A.I.Katsman, I.B. Malochevskaya).

Vlad Furman is one of the founders of the Illusion film company. Director of numerous popular television series, such as "Gangster Petersburg", "National Security Agent", "Terrorist Ivanova", "Narkomovsky Convoy", "Kuprin. Pit", "Mysterious Passion".

The series "Mysterious Passion" about the poets of the sixties based on the novel by V. Aksyonov caused a storm of controversy and conflicting opinions. This project revealed polar moods in society, and also became a cultural sensation both in Russia and abroad (based on the book by I. Tchaikovskaya "Time of Culture").

The series "Mysterious Passion" has become a phenomenon on Channel One, completely dominating the prime time.

"Terrorist Ivanova" by V. Furman received the highest marks not only from critics, but also from viewers and was awarded the Golden Rhino award for best director. In this project, Vlad Furman managed to work with such famous and talented actors as Maria Shukshina, Alexei Seryabryakov and Nina Ruslanova.
According to all-Russian indicators, "Terrorist Ivanova" became the most popular project in  country, beating even football. The series has a share of 29.1%, football - 27.1%.

Work at theatre
The first production on the stage of the theater "Russian Entreprise" named after A. A. Mironov "Dead Souls" made it possible to talk about the director's own theatrical language. Subsequent works - The Kreutzer Sonata, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Oblomov, Forty-First - only confirmed this thesis. Since graduation from the institute until 2019, the director has staged 30 performances in theaters of St. Petersburg and Russia.
In 2000, Vlad Furman became the chief director of the St. Petersburg Theater "Russian Entreprise" named after A. A. Mironov. Worked with well-known artists of the Russian theater - Oleg Basilashvili, Leonid Nevedomsky, Olga Samoshina, Valery Degtyar, Valery Kukhareshin, Evgeny Baranov, Mikhail Razumovsky.
Feature Film
In 2017, Vlad Furman presented the feature film "Gupeshka",
based on the play of the same name by Vasily Sigarev.
November 22, 2017 in the UK, as part of the Russian Film Week, international premiere screenings of the film "Gupeshka" were held.
At the festival "Movement" the film "Gupeshka" received an award for best actress. Also, "Gupeshka" was nominated three times for the "Golden Unicorn" award.
At the festival "Provincial Russia" "Gupeshka" received the Grand Prix for the best film, the film received the award for the best script at the All-Russian Shukshin Film Festival.
Participated in the week of Russian cinema in Tokyo in 2018, as well as in Poland at the Sputnik festival.
